What one season of HSPT prep usually costs.
Not a worst case, just the normal path: one monthly prep subscription you start in the fall and forget to cancel, plus a few tutoring sessions before test day. Every figure below is a real published price (verified July 2026); the detailed table underneath proves each line.
Six months is a common window from signing up in the fall to test day in the winter, plus the month or two a monthly plan runs before anyone remembers to cancel. Tutoring at $60/hr sits inside the verified $50 to $65 range. Nobody buys every option at once; this is one realistic path, and the table below lets you price any other.

Questions
Is the free plan really free?
Yes. All three full length tests and every one of the 894 practice questions are free on a free account, timed at the official pace and scored instantly, with your history synced across devices. We never paywall the questions. Pro sells smarter practice, not access.
Is Pro a subscription? Will I get charged again?
No. Pro is one payment that covers 12 months. There is no automatic renewal, no card kept on file, and nothing to remember to cancel. When the year ends, access simply stops unless you choose to renew.
How long does the $49 price last?
The $49 price covers the first 100 families, or runs until October 1, whichever comes first. October 1 is when the fall test season begins: most dioceses hold the HSPT in early December or January. Join early and both perks, the $49 price and the doubled AI tutor allowance of 1,000 questions a month, stay locked for your full 12 months. After either limit is hit, Pro is $79 with an allowance of 500 a month.
Why 12 months?
Twelve months covers the whole admissions cycle: summer or fall practice, the test itself in late fall or winter, and a second sitting at another school if your family needs one. Your child studies at their own pace instead of racing a monthly billing clock.
What does Pro actually add?
Not questions. Practice is already unlimited and free. Pro adds a written explanation for every question, weak spot analysis by exact topic, drills built automatically from the questions your child misses, a pacing coach, a readiness score, a printable score report, and an AI tutor (1,000 questions a month for the first 100 families, 500 after).
How does the price compare to Mometrix, Test Innovators, or a tutor?
One month of Mometrix lists at $79.99, more than a full year of GTS Pro costs even at our October price. Test Innovators charges $59.99 for one practice test and $179.99 for two; $49 here buys three tests and a year of access. In person HSPT tutoring packages commonly run $400 to $600.
